Miss Corinne!

This update is all about Corinne, my niece :) Jack is staying with Mimi and Popa while I help my friend Jen out. Here are Jen and Brian with Corinne. She's so gorgeous and sweet. I'm loving getting to hold a tiny baby again as Jack is a big boy now!! Enjoy!

Outdoor entertainment

Jack LOVES to be outside! We go on 1-2 bike rides a day now that the weather is nice. Here he is all strapped in with his bug helmet on. Isn't he the cutest little bike rider ever???

Jack and friends

Jack had a couple of friends over for dinner tonight. They played outside and tested out the new swingset and slides. Thomas the Train also got quite a bit of use tonight!! Here are Jack, Connor and Avery playing. Avery turns 2 in just a couple of weeks and Connor celebrated his first birthday 2 days after Jack. What fun!

This is the room I always invisioned. I love the colors and think it turned out perfectly. You'll notice the dormer window nook and closet. It's Jack's new play area! Enjoy!

Getting settled

We've officially been in the new house for about 10 days now but this is the first with just the 3 of us! We had lots of family over to help us unpack and get settled. The painter comes out tomorrow to re-paint the living room, Jack's room and the guest room. We can't wait to see how the rooms look with the new colors! That will really help get those final few boxes out of the way. Jack is LOVING his playroom and spends all of his time in there. We added some final touches to it and think that it's coming together nicely. It's definitely slow going unpacking while Jack clings to our legs and gets into trouble every second!!! Jack's second party

The fun never stops around here! We got a few cupcakes and celebrated with Alyssa in the backyard. Jack enjoyed his second cake just as much as the first. But then Jack has never met a food he does not love!!

One year ago today

Our precious baby boy was born! Now he is a toddler in the truest form of the word. Taking steps, feeding himself, running away when I try and dress him or change his diaper....... Mr. Independent! Jack's ice cream social

My baby had his first birthday party today!!! I swear he changed from baby to boy overnight..... He had his second hair cut and got fitted for "big boy" shoes. Size 5 XL at that! We moved into our new house this week. It's been a blur of boxes and parties at our house. Dave had a surprise 30th birthday party Saturday night and Jack's party was this afternoon at Marble Slab. The house just wasn't ready to host a party with little ones! Jack wore his Elmo hat (tying in the Sesame St. theme) for a few seconds, enjoyed the ice cream cake immensely, and smashed his booties into oblivion......... all the while his feet never touched the ground! He just loved eating his own little cake, recently thawed from my baby shower LAST year. Yes we kept it for Jack. So so good. My son has good taste! Anyway, here are the pics....... Enjoy!

Ps- Jack is taking steps and stands and balances well. He just needs to decide he wants to walk! He's got 2 days according to me :)

Chow time

It always feels like meal time around here. We call Jack "Mikey" b/c he likes everything he eats! Here he is enjoying ravioli. He had sauce all over his face, arms, stomach, and legs! What a mess.........

Jack and Alex

Jack had a friend over today and they had so much fun! Alex is from the Washington D.C. area and his mom Karin is a good friend of mine. They boys played cars together and then went and fed the ducks in our neighborhood. Jack is on the mend and has taken very small, fast steps a couple of times lately. It won't be too long until he walks I suspect........ Maybe after we move??
