Mmmm, sketti

I cooked one of Jack's favorite meals tonight..... spaghetti. He loves it just as much as his Mama does! Must be genetic. He ate every last noodle on his plate. Notice how his fork is in his left hand but he prefers to shovel the spaghetti into his mouth with his right hand. What a mess he is!

More "choos"

We got Jack a Thomas geo-tracks type set for his birthday but just opened it today since he was innundated with toys at his party. Jack didn't quite get that Thomas was battery operated and insisted on "helping" him along. We also got a Thomas DVD that he's obsessed with right now (thank you Marv and Cheryl!!). It's like he's watching the evening news or something...... eyebrows furrowed, intently listening.

Sesame Street Live

We took Jack to Sesame St. live on Friday and he had the best time!!! We really weren't sure how he would react to it all but he did great. He initally didn't want much to do with his seat and took turns sitting in our laps, but then he settled down and sat perfectly still in his own seat for half of the show. He danced his little heart out and clapped away. He was so happy to see "Elbo" and Aunt Jen's favorite, Mr. Noodle!! Here are some pictures from the show (remember it was dark in there so the quality isn't the best). They busted out with disco music at one point. Go Muppets!

J-E-L-L-O

Sometimes Jack is a great eater and other times he is not. Lately has been hit or miss and I just found out why........ he's been cutting his two year molars! Explains a lot :) I made dinner last night and he ate 3 helpings of chicken, peas and mashed potatos. As a treat, I gave him pudding. You can see for yourself that he loved it. As for the weird face he makes for pictures these days, he's saying "cheese".

Tyler's Birthday party

We just got back from the Children's Museum for Jack's friend Tyler's 2nd birthday party. His mom and I went to grad school together. We had never been there before and were amazed at all of the fun things to do. Jack was in heaven! He ate 2 pieces of cake (just like at his own party) and was the last kid left at the table. Jack found the Thomas the train table and we had a hard time convincing him that he had the exact same thing at home and to play with the other cool things. He loved the Dr. Seuss slide and the New Orleans port exhibit with miniature ships. We had a wonderful time and got to see all of the Memphis and Florida fans in town for the basketball regional tournament. Thanks for having such a fun party Tyler!

Jack's 2nd Birthday party!

We celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday this weekend at Toddlearn. The kids had a blast playing with all of the toys there. The parachute ride was a huge success with the 3 and under crowd! Everything was a Cars theme..... as you can tell by the cake and decorations. Jack wolfed down 2 pieces of cake (recall last year when we had to literally take the cake away from him) and enjoyed some ice cream as well. All 3 of Jack's "girlfriends" were there and no drama insued. Jack made out with tons of awesome toys and had a wonderful 2nd birthday. We'll stay lowkey for his actual birthday on Wednesday!
