Carmen's Disco Party

Jack attended his very first disco party this past weekend. He picked out one of his Daddy's hats to wear but it really only stayed on during the car ride over to Carmen's house. Here is a picture of the disco birthday girl in her sparkly outfit. She had a disco pinata and Jack really enjoyed taking a turn at bat. He tried to take multiple turns in fact...... Maybe a career in baseball is in his future.

Talent show at Kehoe

Today was Jack's last day at Kehoe Summer camp. All of the kids there participated in different choreographed dances with their groups..... except Jack and maybe one other little boy!!! The first picture is of about half of the crowd that turned out. The second picture is of Jack being held by one of his teachers while his group performed! Jack is such a ham and loves stages (I usually have to keep him away from them) but today he wasn't having it. Here's the rest of his group and another 2 year old class performing a "Monkey See, Monkey Do" act. The kids had monkey tails and ears on. It was adorable. Jack's "girlfriend" Madeline is on the left of the group and did an outstanding job following along with the moves. Go Madeline!!

Wrestling with Gigi

Bitsy came to stay with me this week while I was on bedrest. Jack was in heaven and had the best time with her. He just loves to be tickled and "messed with" as we say. His laugh is just the best too when he's being tickled. He'll actually say "more more"!!

Good news

I just got back from the OB and I wasn't having any contractions during my non-stress test!!! I still have to take the medicine to keep contractions at bay until 37 weeks, but I don't have to continue bedrest at this time. Yea! Just wanted to pass this great news along.

Snoball time

Here in Nawlins we call snowcones "snoballs". It was extra hot out today so Bitsy got us some snoballs to help us cool off. Jack drank the syrup and ate the ice with a spoon. Yummy yummy!

We just got an iMac and I'm figuring all of this out so I don't have new pictures of Jack yet, but I do have belly shots for comparison on the baby's blog. Go over there and see what you think. Be sure to comment!!

On bedrest

No pictures to update sadly.... just wanted to let everyone know that I 've been put on bedrest for contractions. I'm on medication to stop them and will know by the end of the week what the next few weeks will bring. It's going to be interesting to say the least with an active 2 year old around while I'm "taking it easy" :)

Jack is doing great and is talking up a storm these days. He know all of his letters and the sounds that they make and is counting to 14 on his own. He amazes me everyday.

Goin Muddin'

It rained pretty much all weekend at PQ and the boys got a little curious about all of the mud puddles around......... and it didn't take long before the clothes were completely muddy! It was gross and I made myself scarce so Daddy could clean up the mess.

Donuts

We traveled to Percy Quin park in Mississippi this weekend for the annual Hadskey family reunion. Jack got to see all of his cousins and got to eat lots of donuts!!!! He didn't eat much else the entire weekend...... guess he was too busy playing with all of his cousins. Here he is sampling some powdered donuts at PQ and then today when we got home (it's a tradition for Daddy to take Jack for chocolate sprinkled donuts on Saturday mornings).

Gigi and Dada stopped by on their way home from a conference in Florida today. Dada picked up some crocs and got Jack a matching pair. Jack couldn't resist putting them on the wrong feet!! Aren't they cute together!

30....... it's all a big joke until it happens to you!

That was the content of the birthday card that my friend Jen sent me. Pretty much sums it up huh? Actually my 30th birthday was awesome and we spent last night celebrating with many of our couple friends and Dave's cousins! It was so much fun even if I had to drink a non-alcoholic drink ;) Here is a picture of the desserts that we split as a table, mind you they were huge!! Dave gave me the best present ever......... diamond earrings. I'm in heaven and totally don't care that I've joined the ranks of my fellow "old" friends. Ha ha. The group photos start out with Dave's cousins from New Orleans, Cameron and Anne, then my playgroup friends Theresa, Jen B. and Jennifer, and finish with my friend Michelle. A big hug to all that came out last night to help me celebrate my birthday!!!

Best Buy!!!

Jack has a new favorite place to go and play........ like all men, it's Best Buy. He picked up that word pretty quickly since we've been going there a lot recently (see the tv post). Mimi and Popa also took him to other appliance stores while he visited and he loved them equally! Here he is with great-gramma Cheryl and riding his favorite pony. On a side note, can you tell he's cutting his 2 year old molars???

Camp Mimi

Jack spent this past week in Houston at Mimi and Popa's house. They did tons of fun things everyday..... usually indoor stuff since they told me that it rained everyday but one! Here are some pictures from the aquarium and a little treat afterwards. Jack loves ice cream cones from the golden arches (but so does his mommy right now!). We're so glad to have our precious little boy back home and thankful for such loving grandparents!!!
